Owner Eva Katz & Chef Tamas Benkovics of Sunnyside Café (located at 4900 North Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34234 www.sunnysidecafesrq.com) are opening a new fine dining establishment in South Sarasota’s popular Gulf Gate Village, near Siesta Key.

The new restaurant will be located at 6516 Superior Ave, Sarasota, FL 34231(Tel#: (941) 906-9444) will be open 6 days a week (opening hours: 5pm-10pm, Fridays/Saturdays 5pm-11pm) featuring American European Cuisine.

While Sunnyside Café, their popular breakfast/lunch neighborhood restaurant with its causal atmosphere features traditional American cuisine with a European kick & Hungarian specialties (homage to the owners’ heritage); their new fine dining restaurant will have a unique eclectic menu inspired by European & American classic dishes.

Eva & Chef Tamas have a combined of 70 years experience in the Food & Beverage industry and food is simply their passion; they immensely enjoy what they do. Chef Tamas is working on a truly interesting menu for the new restaurant to provide his guests with an enjoyable & memorable culinary experience. He takes pride in selecting the finest & freshest ingredients from local farmers markets and vendors whenever possible, and preparing everything from scratch in-house daily.

Chef Tamas’ superb sweet & savory creations are often influenced by the many years working as a chef in a number of world-renowned restaurants in Hungary. His creative dishes influenced by European gastronomy will make the dinner menu of the new restaurant truly intriguing.
